Our motto at Hamm Autoworks is "Your car; Our passion" therefore we require each Automotive Technician to be licensed and possess the experience necessary to provide our customers with excellent service. As a full-service repair facility, we specialize in wide variety of vehicles, both, domestic and foreign. Occasionally Hamm Autoworks accepts contract work for fleet vehicles, so knowledge of larger trucks and vans will be helpful in this position. LIST OF AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICIAN RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform routine automotive maintenance tasks, including oil changes, brake service, tire rotations, transmission flushes, air conditioning system repairs, etc
Maintain a working knowledge of current industry best practices in automotive repair
Conduct comprehensive diagnostic procedures to determine the sources of customers’ problems and provide accurate repair recommendations
Conduct necessary maintenance and take vehicles for test drives to verify soundness
Maintain legible and precise paperwork for both the customer and for our records
Clean and maintain the work environment to ensure equipment longevity and workplace safety

AUTOMOBILE TECHNICIAN MECHANIC SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma/GED required
ASE certification required**
3+ years’ of service technician experience
Willingness to participate in in-house training
Ability to operate all auto repair tools
Knowledge of diagnostic tools and equipment a must

* Sign-on bonus will be determined based on the technician's mechanical abilities, attendance, time management, safety management and problem-solving skills. Technicians can expect to deal with complex automotive issues and sometimes may be required to work independently to resolve concerns.
